Job Title: Public Health Research Analyst

Location: Nashville, TN 37243 (Hybrid)

Pay Rate: $37.50/hr (W2, All-Inclusive)

Duration: 5 Months (with possible extension through 06/30/2026, pending funding)

Start Date: ASAP

Work Schedule: Full-time | Hybrid | In-person attendance required on Day 1 for laptop deployment and orientation

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Research Analyst to support a public health initiative focused on cancer prevention and control, with specific emphasis on lung and colorectal cancer . This individual will be responsible for conducting a comprehensive landscape analysis to assess prevention, screening, treatment, and outcomes across Tennessee. This role requires experience in community-based research, qualitative data collection, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct a comprehensive landscape analysis, identifying findings, gaps, and actionable recommendations
• Develop and submit a qualitative study plan to the Institutional Review Board (IRB)
• Identify, engage, and collaborate with providers and community partners
• Collect qualitative data through interviews, focus groups, and/or surveys
• Maintain research integrity in alignment with all applicable federal, state, and institutional regulations
• Prepare and deliver presentations of findings to diverse stakeholders
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement and strategic planning
• Perform related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Health Research, or a related field
• Experience conducting community-based or public health research
• Strong skills in qualitative research methods and data collection
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including report writing and presentations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, GIS) preferred
• Familiarity with cancer control initiatives or healthcare access barriers is a plus
• Prior IRB submission experience is preferred

• Occasional travel within Tennessee may be required (reimbursable)
• This is a hybrid position based in Nashville, TN
