Job Description

ABOUT GUIDEBOOK:

Guidebook is a simple yet powerful event management software that lets you promote your event, manage registration and create an app in four easy steps with no technical skills required.

Thousands of organizations across the globe use Guidebook to create mobile applications for events, university campus open houses, venue guides, onboarding for associations, corporate training and so much more. These apps help people stay organized, connect with their peers, and access more information - but it doesn’t stop there.

Our mission is to support the people who bring people together - event organizers. Events have never felt more important in building connections and helping shape and change minds in today’s fractured world. We are a driven team on a mission to elevate event experiences for everyone – and believe we can accomplish that while highly valuing balance, togetherness, and fun!

ABOUT THE JOB:

You’re a hybrid thinker—a digital designer with a marketer’s mindset. You know how to make websites not just look good, but perform well. With a deep understanding of Webflow and a knack for intuitive user experience, you can confidently manage and optimize a site like guidebook.com, bringing both creative flair and strategic insight to the table. You’re equally at home collaborating with marketers, salespeople, and developers, and you’re excited to see your design choices translate into measurable business results.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of Guidebook’s web presence—rebuilding and maintaining our site in Webflow, supporting our martech integrations, and contributing to brand-aligned marketing design projects. You will play a central role in executing and iterating on digital strategies that drive awareness, conversions, and engagement.

Our ideal candidate blends strong visual design skills with technical chops. You understand how SEO, user experience, and design intersect—and you’re always looking for ways to improve site performance, conversion rates, and brand consistency. Experience in a fast-paced, collaborative B2B or SaaS environment is a big plus, especially if you’ve juggled multiple marketing initiatives at once.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Own and manage the Guidebook marketing website in Webflow, initially leading on a re-design and re-development project and then making updates and improvements as needed

  • Collaborate with marketers to build landing pages, optimize user flows, and support campaign launches

  • Apply technical SEO best practices to ensure discoverability and performance across pages

  • Manage the Guidebook Blog on WordPress

  • Use your HTML, CSS and Javascript skills to help manage our WordPress blog, and support important integrations

  • Proactively suggest and implement website improvements based on data, benchmarks, and user experience trends

  • Design visually compelling digital assets and maintain brand consistency across web and marketing materials

  • Contribute to the development of social and paid campaign assets where needed

  • Help connect web performance to marketing KPIs, including traffic, conversion rates, and SEO rankings

  • Manage projects alongside the marketing team within a structured project management process using two-week sprints in Jira

  • Bring a creative and analytical lens to problem-solving—balancing great design with measurable results

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • 3+ years of digital or marketing design experience, with a strong portfolio of Webflow design and development projects.

  • Experience building and implementing design systems in Webflow.

  • Demonstrated experience managing and optimizing a B2B marketing website

  • Proficient with HTML, CSS and Javascript - supporting our WordPress blog, and integrations with marketing platforms like Marketo and Chili Piper

  • Familiar with technical SEO, including on-page optimization, structure, and site health

  • Strong design sensibility and the ability to articulate a clear point of view based on data and brand goals

  • Experience analyzing site performance and translating insights into design and UX improvements

  • Collaborative and communicative—you enjoy working cross-functionally with marketers, sales, and leadership

  • Analytical yet creative—you’re eager to A/B test and refine assets to improve performance

  • Experience producing work through project management tools such as Jira, Asana, Monday, etc

  • Is able to work effectively with a manager based in a remote office

  • Bonus: Experience in a smaller B2B and/or SaaS company where you owned multiple design/development functions

  • Bonus: Experience with Google Tag Manager

WITHIN 3 MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Gain a solid understanding of Guidebook’s product, brand, customers, and website structure

  • Conduct a full audit of the website with recommendations for design, UX, and SEO improvements

  • Establish relationships across marketing, sales, and product teams

  • Begin contributing to new landing pages and website updates using Webflow

  • Participate in sprint planning and align your work within the team’s 2-week cadence

  • Understand the Guidebook tone and visual identity—and begin forming ideas for evolution

  • Identify low-hanging fruit to improve conversion rates and technical performance

WITHIN 6 MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Take full ownership of Guidebook’s Webflow site, managing updates and improvements with autonomy - including updates to our martech integrations

  • Take full ownership of Guidebook’s blog on WordPress, managing updates and improvements with autonomy

  • Regularly analyze and report on website performance—setting clear goals and benchmarks

  • Design and launch new campaign pages and test variations to improve engagement and lead gen

  • Partner with demand gen to create high-converting landing pages and performance-focused assets

  • Contribute to improving project workflows and creating reusable design components in Webflow

WITHIN 12 MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Establish a clear connection between your work and core marketing KPIs (e.g. SEO, conversion rates, engagement)

  • Standardize best practices for Webflow development, website QA, and marketing design operations

  • Build scalable systems to support growth—templates, automation, atoms/molecules

  • Play a leadership role in maintaining and evolving the Guidebook brand voice and visual identity

  • Drive measurable improvements in performance through data-informed design decisions

  • Be seen as the go-to resource for high-quality, performance-driven design within the marketing team
